- This is a closed book exam, so you must not bring any lecture documents with you. We will only provide you with the Appendix of the lecture notes. Non-programmable calculators are allowed. (We will also bring calculators.)
- Laptops or tablet PCs are not allowed.
- Cell phones have to be switched off.
- You will have 120 minutes to complete the exam. The exam starts exactly at 9:00 and ends exactly at 11:00.
Contents:
This class introduces various important statistical models and estimation of the corresponding parameters using likelihood inference.
Exercises:
- New exercises will be distributed every week for the following week. Throughout the semester, two of the worksheets (announced in advance) will be collected and corrected. Although the solutions do not have to be completely correct, an attempt must be made to answer all questions.
- Additionally, each student must present the solution of an exercise on the blackboard once during the semester.
- The first exercise hour will be on September 22, and the first worksheet will be discussed on September 29.
