The Master’s Program in Biostatistics welcomed the new semester with its annual biostat BBQ, bringing together students, lecturers, alumni, and members of the Biostatistics Department for an informal evening of food and conversation.
This year's biostat BBQ took place at a forest hut near Zurich, where a fire (fueled by perfectly dried beechwood - many thanks to Holzkorperation Dübendorf :) ) invited everyone to grill. Together with the shared salad and dessert buffet, it provided the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening. For our new students in particular, the BBQ offered a relaxed opportunity to meet their fellow students, get to know their lecturers outside the classroom, and connect with alumni. Exchanging experiences with students from different cohorts and hearing directly from graduates gave them a first insight into the Biostatistics community and into life during and after the Master’s program.
